— About
Mark Alston is a photographer originally from the broad acre paddocks of the Riverina now based out of Newcastle, NSW.
I am a photographer who loves to collaborate. For me, the most important aspect is providing my clients with maximum value.
With years of experience in the industry, I have worked with clients on a variety of projects, including brand and editorial campaigns, as well as social and corporate portraiture.
I possess a keen eye for composition and excel at capturing authentic moments.
In addition, I am an accomplished motion director who has worked with numerous national and international brands in the advertising space and created several long-form series that have aired in most places around the world.
A little about my history:
I live in Newcastle NSW but work all over.
In 2014 I founded Bondi Harvest, a food media brand that I grew into a successful company with two cafes in LA, two books published through Harper Collins, and two long-form TV series screened in over 70 countries.
I spent time in the US working with streaming giant Tastemade as a key production partner where I developed, produced, and directed several global food and travel series.
My passion for food and produce can be traced back to my farm upbringing in the Riverina where we had a very large vege garden!
My first job in the film industry was on the Matrix film. In fact I worked on many feature films along side the likes of George Lucas, Tom Cruise and Nicolas Cage and yes, I have some great stories.
